Student Environmental Leadership Program
Event description
Suitable for Years 3 to 10.
Student Environmental Leadership Program (SELP) - funded by the Department of Education and Training
While not a face-to-face incursion, you will have an expert educator working remotely to talk directly to your students. Mapped to the Victorian Curriculum, our Virtual Student Environmental Leadership Programs are interactive, hands-on and designed to provide your students with the knowledge and skills to become leaders in their school and community.
The online incursion comes with a school teacher guide and instructions for activities to do before and after your webinars.
Your online incursion will include three 1-hour sessions split across the day:
You will be asked to provide preferred session times between 9AM-3:30PM while booking.
Each FREE webinar is limited to five schools per region – so book in early to secure your preferred date.
Energy: Students will discover how electricity is generated, understand the impacts and solutions to climate change and the important role renewable energy plays.
Biodiversity: Students will develop their understanding of living and non-living things, the impacts of human activities on an ecosystem and solutions to increase biodiversity at school or home.
Water: Students will develop an understanding of how changes in our environments affect river health, what makes a healthy waterway and how to keep our waterways healthy.
Waste: Students will investigate the use and management of natural resources and waste, and the different views on how to do this sustainably. |
