Description

The Resilience in Reach Virtual Village is a regular online gathering for parents, carers, families and kin just like you - your homebase to connect, find understanding and support, and hear from people with their own lived experiences that resonate.

You don’t have to navigate caring for a child or young person with complex mental health alone.

Across the year, we’ll invite different guest speakers and voices into the Village, shaped by the topics and experiences you tell us matter most.

Everyone needs a village - and we want this one to feel like yours.

Join us in September when we will hear from guest speaker Rebecca Lockyer as she presents:

Reducing conflict and building connection with neurodivergent children and teens

📅 Wednesday 16 September 2026
⏰ 10am-12pm
💻 Online and free to attend

As an Occupational Therapist, educator and parent of a neurodivergent child, Rebecca brings professional knowledge and lived experience to our conversation.

As Director of Little TheraPeas, and Conference Director of the Paediatric Occupational Therapy Conference Australia, she has extensive experience supporting neurodivergent children and teens and their families, with particular interests in autism, sensory processing, regulation, participation and developmental differences. Rebecca is a neurodiversity-affirming practitioner, clinical supervisor and educator who regularly provides professional development to therapists and education to parents and caregivers.

Rebecca is passionate about helping families understand what sits beneath behaviour and finding practical, realistic ways to reduce conflict, support participation and build stronger connection without increasing overwhelm.

Come as you are. Listen, share, ask questions or simply be part of the conversation.

Because no one should navigate this alone.

You may know the Virtual Village by its former name, the Resilience in Reach Online Peer Network. Same welcoming space, with a new name that better reflects a homebase to connect, find understanding and support, and hear from people with lived experiences that resonate.
