Some of Oklahoma’s finest authors are ready to come right onto your computer screen to share their writing tips and strategies! In these engaging online sessions, you’ll learn about their writing process and gain tips to make your own writing stand out. 

If you love writing or reading, this workshop is for you. It’s like a field trip into  the world of your favorite books! Get ready to meet the authors and learn how you could become one too.

On November 7th, join Alton Carter, a former foster child and police officer. He was the first person in his family to graduate from high school and college. In this virtual session, Mr. Carter will speak to students about how he overcame his circumstances to become the person he is today. He will introduce students to his book "The Boy Who Carried Bricks" and the processes behind making that a best selling novel.

Who Can Attend? The focus age for the session is 5th-8th grade students at Epic, however, anyone is welcome to attend.
