Course Outline:
This course is designed to provide an overview of the common types of injuries and the medical terminology that often arise in the personal injury sector. With a better understanding of injuries and their impacts, Return to Work Coordinators and other Health and Wellbeing Practitioners will be more effective in the management of each claim and increase the opportunities for promoting the worker’s return to work and health.
Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this course you will:
- Have an understanding of the common types of injuries that occur in the personal injury sector
- Be familiar with common medical terminology used and basic human anatomy
- Have awareness of the impact that an injury can have on a worker
Recommended for:
This course is applicable for a national audience, and is recommended for new Return to Work Coordinators and First Aiders.
About the Trainer: Meg Hansson - Learning & Development Specialist, EML
Meg has worked in workers’ compensation, return to work and occupational health and safety for over 20 years. During this time Meg has applied her skills, knowledge and experience in a range of roles including as a trainer and facilitator, learning designer, advisor, Mental Health and WHS Specialist. Meg has extensive experience interpreting legislation and is passionate about helping learners achieve their career and study goals.
Meg holds a Diploma of Workplace Health and Safety, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Diploma of Fitness and a Diploma of Human Resources.
