Virtually Together - City of Parramatta
Event description
The City of Parramatta is supporting local community organisations in the Parramatta LGA through online volunteering and online community building. Virtually Together will be running in Parramatta for the next 6 months and can provide timely support to you and your organisation as you navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic.
The program uses Communiteer’s crowdsourcing technology to connect local community organisations and skilled volunteers from Parramatta-based corporate and government sectors to work on projects that will benefit the ongoing operation of the community organisation.
Joining the program is free and the requirements for community organisations are not onerous.
Communiteer offers:
1. One-on-one support to community organisations to identify key operational projects that will be of long term benefit
2. Source volunteers who can assist with the project.
The aims are to allow you to continue to your work supporting the local community, and also sourcing professional services to help your organisations survive and thrive in the post-COVID environment.
The types of activities online volunteers can do to assist your organisation includes marketing and fundraising; HR – workforce planning, restructuring; Business continuity and governance issues; and financial projections.
