Carers Week with Mandy Hose: Virtual MyTime
Event description
Carers Week with Mandy Hose
Virtual MyTime
About this event
Join us for a special National Carers Week event featuring Mandy Hose, fellow parent, sleep consultant, and co-host of the popular Too Peas podcast.
This session will explore how connecting with other carers and building a community of support can help you feel more positive and empowered. Learn about strategies to connect with others who understand your journey, and explore ways to build meaningful relationships while managing your caring responsibilities. Mandy will share her personal experiences and offer practical advice on overcoming isolation.
Gain wisdom from Mandy but also connect with other parents in similar situations. There will be an opportunity to share your own experiences, ask questions, and learn how peer support can transform your caring journey.
This event is facilitated by Kylie
Kylie is a mum to two amazing neurodiverse school-aged kids. Her family lives the day to day journey of what a medical and disability diagnosis means.Â
Kylie is an experienced Peer Facilitator and also mentors and supports families with evidence-based, child-led, strengths-focused, mindfulness and growth mindset approaches. She believes this encourages, not only her own, but all children to thrive and flourish.
Who is this event for?
MyTime is for parents and caregivers raising a child with disability, developmental delay or autism.
During a MyTime session, there is a guided discussion and a space to connect with other families. These discussions offer an opportunity for parents and caregivers to share and learn from each other.
