Under 8yrs: Supporting Sensory Needs: Virtual Autism MyTime
Event description
For some Autistic children, busy or unfamiliar places can feel too loud, too bright, or simply too much. This session is about understanding those experiences and finding gentle, practical ways to support their sensory needs with care and confidence.
Together, we’ll share simple strategies that help children feel understood and at ease, using approaches that honour their sensory world and strengthen connection between you and your child.
In this peer group we’ll explore
Understanding sensory needs through a neuroaffirming lens
Simple ways to reduce overwhelm at home or on the go
Everyday supports that build comfort, confidence, and connection
This group is facilitated by Kristy
Kristy is a proud mum to Dash, who is Autistic and has ADHD, just like his mum. She’s passionate about connecting with other families and celebrating neurodivergent joy and all the strengths that come with thinking differently.
