Supporting Siblings: Virtual MyTime
Event description
Supporting Siblings
Virtual MyTime
About this event
Parenting a child with a disability, developmental delay, or autism can be demanding. When you are raising multiple children, often, the focus inadvertently shifts towards the child with a disability. However siblings play a vital role in the family dynamic and often need support too.
Join this peer group discussion to hear how other families are navigating some of the challenges, fostering positive relationships between siblings and ensuring everyone in the family has their needs met. There will be opportunities to share your experiences and resources that have helped your family, as well as to ask questions.Â
This event is facilitated by Bree
Bree is a mum of two children. Her second child Dax was born with Congenital Cytomegalovirus (CMV). She has lived around Australia before settling on the south coast of NSW with her family.
Bree and her partner Mitchell love the outdoors and will always find a way to include Dax in their adventures along with their daughter Dylan.Who is this event for?
MyTime is for parents and caregivers raising a child with disability, developmental delay or autism.
During a MyTime session, there is a guided discussion and a space to connect with other families. These discussions offer an opportunity for parents and caregivers to share and learn from each other.
