FAQs
What if I am unable to attend my designated session time?
Please contact Reception with your availability, as we may be able to accommodate you in another session.
How many guests can each performer bring?
As seating at the venue is limited, we ask that you invite immediate family only. Some exceptions may be possible, but please check with Reception first.
What if a performer is enrolled in more than one instrument?
Students learning more than one instrument may perform on each instrument under a single $30 performer fee. Please register for your preferred session time and let Reception know which instruments you will be playing. We will do our best to accommodate all performances in the same session.
What if a performer or siblings are scheduled in different sessions?
Please register for your preferred session time and notify Reception. We will do our best to accommodate all performances in the same session.
Does every performer require an accompanist?
Guitar, piano and drum students do not require an accompanist. For other students, this will depend on the chosen piece. If you are unsure, please check with your teacher. The use of backing tracks is discouraged.
How do I arrange a piano accompanist?
Please notify Reception as soon as possible so a rehearsal can be arranged. The $25 accompaniment fee includes one 15-minute rehearsal and accompaniment at the recital. This fee is invoiced separately through the School.
How long can each performance be?
Please limit your performance to one item, with a maximum duration of three minutes. Students performing on more than one instrument should discuss their pieces with their teachers.
Does everyone need to register?
Yes. All performers and audience members, including children attending free, must register online.
When do registrations close?
Registrations close on Friday 6 November 2026.
What time should performers arrive?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled session time.
What should performers wear?
There is no dress code. Recitals are a special occasion, so you are welcome to dress up if you wish.
What should each performer bring to the recital?
Please bring your instrument and any sheet music required for your performance. Music stands and sound equipment will be provided.
What are my transport/parking options?
Street parking is available on Ruthven Street, with additional parking in the carpark on Aidan’s Way (see map).
The school is a short walk from Corinda railway station, on the Ipswich/Rosewood train line, with direct access to Brisbane’s CBD and the western suburbs, and connections to the wider train network.
