Vision 20/50 an (im)possible Festival Launch

Imagine - It’s the year 2050 and you are at the launch of a region-wide arts Festival in the Central West – the Vision20/50 Festival.

Back here in 2024, we tasked 9 artists from across the region to imagine an artwork that could only be made in 2050, and to imagine the world in which that artwork could exist.

Vision 20/50 is a speculative Festival project that positions artists as engineers of an optimistic future. Centring the power and imagination of our artists, Vision 20/50 is a hypothetical Festival program set not too far in future that allows us to reflect on an ambitious, flourishing vision for the future of regional arts.

Come and join us as we launch the (im)possible Vision 20/50 Festival Program of 9 original hypothetical artworks across cosmic-immersive installation, inter-species collaborative performance, textile-genetics as wellbeing practice and more, as we celebrate the role arts and artists play in creating our future.
