Event description

After a pause for holidays, it might be time to imagine the year ahead and what you'd most like to cultivate in 2025.

There are lots of way to set goals, but making a vision board can be helpful as a way to see your goals. There's no single way a vision board should look or what it should contain. Most importantly it reflects your own meaningful goals - either figuratively or imaginatively.

By displaying your vision board somewhere you'll see it each day is a good way way to keep the inspiration strong and the goals relevant, and more present in our mind.

So come along and have some fun setting your own goals this New Year.

What will we cover?

We will learn visual goal setting while creating our own vision boards. This includes:

  • Identifying goals that align with your values - they will mean more to you!
  • Choosing striking and memorable images and text to represent your goals - realistically or through representation
  • Acknowledging the challenges to overcome to reach your identified goals - what do these challenges look like?
  • Asking yourself what do you think achieving each goal will feel like, and what can represent this?
  • You don't need to complete your vision board entirely within class time.

    What should I bring?

All materials are provided however if you want to work with any specific images or text - photos, ephemera from holidays, postcards - please bring these along.

Think about how to transport your vision board home safely - you might like to bring something to keep it flat.
