Theatre Lab – Creativity Brought to Life

Theatre Lab is a fun, creative and engaging three-hour drama workshop designed for young people aged 12–15.

Through improvisation, storytelling, movement and voice, participants will explore their creativity while developing confidence, communication and teamwork.

The workshop provides a supportive and inclusive environment where young people can experiment with characters, create stories and collaborate with others.

What Participants Will Learn

Participants will have opportunities to:

• Build confidence and creative expression

• Develop teamwork and collaboration

• Explore improvisation and character creation

• Develop expressive movement and voice

• Create stories and original scenes as a group

• Share ideas and reflect on their creative experience

What to Expect

The workshop may include ensemble warm-up games, movement and voice activities, improvisation exercises, character development, group story creation, and sharing and reflection. Activities will be presented with clear instructions and flexible participation to support an inclusive environment.

About the Facilitator

Mura Martins is a drama educator, actor and creative workshop leader with more than 20 years of experience. She has delivered inclusive, community-focused drama programs in the Mid North Coast for more than five years. Her practice focuses on accessibility, confidence-building, creativity, wellbeing and community connection.
