Event description

Experience Vivaldi's Four Seasons like never before!

Step back in time to the era of Vivaldi himself with Australian Baroque's captivating performance of the iconic Four Seasons, presented on baroque instruments. Led by the visionary Artistic Director and virtuoso violinist, Helen Kruger, prepare to be transported to Vivaldi's Venice, complete with Vivaldi's own poetry that inspired the works themselves.

Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter come to life in a mesmerising display of musical mastery, as the ensemble breathes new life into these timeless compositions. Feel the warmth of the sun, the crackle of thunderstorms, the thrill of the hunt, and the chill of icy winds — all through the evocative power of Vivaldi's music.

"High strings swooned over fretting chords, zephyrs of sound caressing the hall, enthralling all."
 – David Cusworth, The West Australian 2021
"Just when I thought I’d reached a peak in terms of 5-star performances this Fringe, Australian Baroque blew me away tonight. One of the most delightfully captivating evenings I’ve ever experienced during Fringe". – Agent Mystery Case, Fringe World reviewer 2021
