Vocal Embodiment: An Exploration into the Healing Art of Singing and the Power of the Voice
Event description
Your voice is a powerful tool for transformation, healing and wholeness! By opening and connecting to your singing voice, you connect to the power, creative energy, and healing sources within yourself. Singing has many proven spiritual, physical, and emotional benefits and is a source of unlimited joy and connection. This day-long workshop is for experienced and inexperienced singers alike who are interested in connecting to the healing power and potential of their singing voice. Through somatic exercises, song, chanting, and exploring vocal and breathwork techniques, we will unlock and reclaim the power of the instrument within.
In this workshop you will:
- Access the potential and power of your voice to heal yourself (and others!)
- Tap into the unlimited joy and bliss of singing and fully utilizing your instrument
- Gain confidence and comfortability with your singing voice
- Move through blockages and limiting beliefs that keep you from accessing the power of your voice
- Learn techniques and exercises for optimal vocal resonance and freedom
- Gain an understanding of the anatomy of the voice and how to care for your instrument
Please bring a water bottle, a journal, a lunch, and an item for the altar.
“The singing voice is a vehicle connecting us with the flow of life that gushes through our being at full force. The singing voice, through the media of breath and sound, supports the process of transforming energy patterns, creates measurable beneficial effects in the physical body, and influences consciousness more efficiently than any other form of sound.” ~Silvia Nakkach, Free Your Voice
