Vocal Play Course for Accredited IP Leaders (8 weeks)- with Trish Watts
Starting Tues 7.30-9pm(SYD) 1 Feb 2022.
Part 1: 1- 22 Feb (4wks); Part 2: 8- 29 Mar (4wks)
“Moving from fear to freedom…. vocally!”
What musical forms are used for creating songs and soundscapes? How do we improvise songs in the moment confidently? How do we lead others in group song creation and enjoy duos, trios and ensemble soundscapes? What would a daily practice of singing, creating song ditties to express what moves us look like? Learn some easy InterPlay songs for use with gathering folk.
You will -
* grow confidence vocally using singing and character voices within an IP class or workshop
* explore Vocal forms and exercises that work with individuals and groups
* create vocal play fun for in the flesh or online/Zoom
A booklet and recording of the vocal forms and exercises will be made available for reference.
Leaders will need to have taken Part 1 course or purchased the booklet & recording of Part 1 to participate in Part 2.
Fee: Part 1 & 2: Sliding scale A$240- $280
Or $150 per each separate 4wk Part
A Vocal Play Certificate of participation will be awarded from Soul Play at the completion of the full course.
