Vogue Workshop
Event description
Ever wanted to learn how to dance like they do on Pose? or LEGENDARY? learn a bit more of Ballroom culture?
The wait is over.
Join us at the North Fremantle Community Centre at 10.30am Saturday 4th.
This N That is organizing Walyalup/Fremantle's first VOGUE workshop!
You’ve probably heard of Voguing, a dance style that orientated not in Madonna’s music video Vogue, but from the black and Latina LGBTQI+ New York Ballroom subculture. We have teamed up with THE CHAPTER, Boorloo/Perth’s first and only pioneering house in the Ballroom Kiki scene to giveour community the opportunity to learn some beginner moves and elements of ballroom dance.

THE CHAPTER: From Boorloo/Perth’s Ballroom kiki scene, a community that is centred for the Queer-POC, especially the transgender community, but not exclusive to, since the culture of ballroom was made and birthed by Black & Latina trans women. We are here to continue a culture and legacy that gives the community a safe space to find yourself in.
This is a non-profit, three hour workshop. Tickets are $20 (Limited to the venue capacity). Dress in whatever is comfortable, heels if you want to wear them.
The best part is you can hang out at Percy Flint’s for the next This n That catch up afterwards, from 1PM
