with Tahir Qawwal & Alexandra Amie

Join us for a singing/vocal workshop led by Tahir Qawwal and his wife, Alexandra Amie from the Sama School of Music Bali.

Perfect for those interested in deepening into a spiritual singing practice, this workshop will include exploration of the rich tradition of Classical Indian Raga music.

During the workshop, participants will learn Indian Classical & Qawwali voice techniques, as Tahir shares his extensive knowledge and experience, guiding participants through exercises that will help them connect with the divine and explore the devotional power of sound.

About Tahir
Tahir Qawwal, a distinguished musician, mastered Hindustani classical music and Qawwali.  He founded Fanna-Fi-Allah Qawwali ensemble and, along with Alexandra Amie, Ilahi Sufi Qawwali the first female Qawwali ensemble. 

Creator of "Qawwali - Music of the Mystics" documentary and founder of Tabaruq Arts, he's released over 20 albums, preserving and innovating the beauty of the Qawwali tradition.

What to Bring
Water bottle, preferred comfortable cushion (there are some cushions at the venue), note pad if you're a note taker, sense of adventure and open heart.

There is parking at the venue, but car pooling advised if possible.
Please arrive from 12.30pm for a 1.00pm start.

Just a note on the tickets - the ticket price is $45 including fees from Humanitix - however if you happen to pay via Paypal, or Amex, they will add a fee on top (about 0.75c/ticket), making the price slightly higher than our $45 amount. xxx
