The QLD Branch of the Australian Association for Environmental Education is piggybacking on the upcoming screening of 'Future Council' to host a powerful evening spotlighting young changemakers shaping our environmental future. And they're at work right here in SE Qld!

Come early for a conversation with some inspiring young environmental stewards, advocates and educators, as we discuss their work, perspectives and bold visions for a brighter future. Lord Alfred Hotel, Boardroom (Canapés and drinks provided.)

Future Council Film: Future Council Q&A | Palace Cinemas

Millions of children around the world are frustrated by the dire lack of action to protect the planet and their future. Until now, their only avenue to express these concerns has been protesting on the streets. Director Damon Gameau (2040, That Sugar Film) invites eight children on an epic adventure across Europe in a school bus powered by biofuel. Their mission is to better understand the planet’s predicament, explore solutions and, most importantly, take the conversation from the streets into the boardrooms of some of the world’s largest polluters and most influential companies.

This inspiring and rollicking journey, where ‘School of Rock’ meets ‘An Inconvenient Truth', results in the children forming a ‘Future Council’ to advise and influence the world's most powerful companies on their decisions that impact nature. It is a coming-of-age journey that dares to imagine a brighter future.

75% of the Producer’s profit share in the film will be donated to Future Council Ltd, a new not-for-profit organisation we’ve set up to support the children in their mission to collaborate with businesses, institutions and schools to create a better future.
