Description

Voices for Change: 16 Days of Activism Lunch 2026

Shared Voices. Strong Communities. Sustainable Change.

Join Top End Two Ways Services (TETWS) and the United Nations Association of Australia Northern Territory (UNAA NT) for Voices for Change, a special community luncheon held as part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign.

This event brings together community members, Aboriginal and community-controlled organisations, government, business, service providers, educators, advocates and emerging leaders to share perspectives, strengthen connections and explore practical actions that contribute to gender equality, violence prevention and safer communities across the Northern Territory.

Our Guest Speaker – Olga Havnen

We are delighted to welcome Olga Havnen, Chief Executive Officer of Our Ways Strong Together, as a confirmed speaker for Voices for Change 2026.

Olga will bring an important perspective to the conversation about Aboriginal leadership, community strength and the changes needed to improve safety and wellbeing for Aboriginal women, families and communities.

Additional speakers and community voices will be announced as the event approaches.

What to expect

Voices for Change is designed to be more than a lunch. It is an opportunity to bring different parts of our community together around a shared commitment to preventing gender-based violence.

The afternoon will feature women’s leadership and community voices, diverse cultural and lived-experience perspectives, conversations about gender equality and violence prevention, and opportunities for networking and collaboration.

Importantly, the event will focus not only on the challenges facing our communities, but also on solutions, leadership and the practical actions we can take together to create sustainable change.

Who should attend?

We welcome community members, Aboriginal community-controlled organisations, women’s organisations, frontline workers, government representatives, businesses and employers, educators and students, community service providers, emerging leaders and gender equality and violence-prevention advocates.

Whether you work directly in the domestic, family and sexual violence sector or simply want to contribute to safer and more inclusive communities, you are welcome at the table.

Corporate & Community Partnership

Our Corporate & Community Partner tables have been designed to help make the event accessible to the people working on the frontline.

Each sponsored table provides places for four representatives from the sponsoring organisation and six sponsored places for frontline workers and community members.

This creates an opportunity for business, government, community organisations and people with lived and professional experience to sit together, build relationships and share ideas.
