Event description
Our next Voices for Change event is all about people with disability finding and using their own voice for change!
We are excited to announce we will have 3 of our members with disability join us to share their insights from times they have personally used their voices for change.
QAI’s Voices for Change events are a chance for our members and our community to speak with us directly, and to have important conversations about the issues impacting the disability community.
Date: Friday 11 April
Time: 11.30am-1.00pm
Location: Gambaro Room at Common Ground, 15 Hope St, South Brisbane (Meanjin)
It’s free to attend and lunch will be provided.
We will also hold an online event for people who can’t attend in person. This will be on Monday 14 April from 10am-11am via Zoom. If you would prefer to attend online, you can register for that event here.
Why attend?
- Learn about how people with disability can speak up for their rights and use their voice to help create a more inclusive society
- Connect with others who are passionate about advancing the rights of people with disability
- Help inform our systems advocacy with your views and experiences.
We hope people with disability who attend will leave feeling empowered to speak up about the issues they are passionate about. We also hope any allies or other professionals who attend will leave with a better understanding of how to support people with disability to use their voice for change.
Will you join us?
