Voices for Reconciliation Choral Event (Free!)
Event description
The National Reconciliation Week (NRW) 2025 theme, Bridging Now to Next, reflects the ongoing connection between past, present and future and urges us to look ahead and continue the push forward as past lessons guide us.
The song we will all be singing is the iconic Australian anthem Solid Rock written by Shane Howard.
Add your voices for reconciliation.
Craig M. Wood Music is hosting a massed choir sing of this song (followed by afternoon tea) on May 3rd @ The Mac Adams Music Centre in Port Macquarie from 1pm.
We will rehearse and film the song, and submit it to be part of Reconciliation Australia's National Reconciliation Week (27/5 - 3/6).
We will also be making the video available through our own channels, for singers to share during that week and promote the continued conversation.
To quote from Reconciliation Australia:

At a time when Australia faces uncertainty in its reconciliation journey, this theme calls on all Australians to step forward together.
Bridging Now to Next urges us to look ahead and continue the push forward as past lessons guide us."
Upon registration, a Google Drive link will be emailed to you with your order confirmation email, containing the score and rehearsal material.
