Talanoa Tai Learning is a new collection of learning experiences. They're designed to help you build your cultural responsiveness and improve your ability to engage meaningfully with Pacific communities. Talanoa is a Paciﬁc style of deep dialogue, with a focus on how we connect to each other and strengthen relationships, while still being able to share honest and eﬀective insights. Tai refers to ocean waters, which represent your opportunity to rise through the ebb and ﬂow of this learning journey. If you want to strengthen your capability in this space, to create transformational change, and to enhance your relationships with people from diﬀerent communities - this workshop is your chance to grow.

What will I gain from Voices from the Moana?

In Voices from the Moana, you will explore and share rich narratives of healing and resilience from different Pacific nations and perspectives. The Pacific ocean is a diverse place and we have our own unique stories of healing through traditional practices, beliefs and methods. This Talanoa Tai learning experience invites reflection on your own understanding of different healing modalities from the Pacific and the impact it has on your worldview. It will equip you to advocate for social justice through Pacific voices. You'll gain practical tolls and insights that you can apply directly to your work.

These learning experiences are for both Paciﬁc professionals and those from other communities. You don’t need to have prior knowledge or experience in this area - we’ll meet you where you are and provide a welcoming, supportive environment for you to learn.

Our team’s extensive research and experience feed into these sessions, with a focus on interactive activities and practical, real-life examples. Our team has decades of experience across a range of ﬁelds, in particular social development, education, and research. We have worked with organisations and businesses across the Paciﬁc, and our engagement with diﬀerent Paciﬁc languages, cultures, and communities means we oﬀer robust, informed perspectives.
