Voices of Birralee Auditions for Semester 2, 2022

Voices of Birralee invite all interested singers to audition for a place in one of our ensembles for Semester 2, 2022. If you sign up now you will receive a 15% discount off semester 2 tuition fees.
Our community choir organisation fosters a love of choral music in young people and has entertained and thrilled audiences in Brisbane, across our state, country and indeed the world. Singing is known to be hugely beneficial to brain development and singing together is advantageous to good mental health and provides a sense of belonging within a community of like-minded people irrespective of age. You are asked to read all about the ensembles on the birralee website, www.birralee.org under the ensembles tab.
TRAINING CHOIRS
Birralee Piccolos (Prep - Yr 1) any Wednesday @ 4.00pm, Bardon or Saturday 1.30pm, Ascot SS
No audition is required for this age group. They are invited to attend the Piccolos rehearsal on this day or any other Wednesday or Saturday. Just contact the office on 3367 1001 to organise.
Birralee Kids (yrs 2 - 4) Saturday 18 June 1.00pm
Audition - which will involve a few singing exercises with the conductor
Rehearsal Observation - from 1.30 - 2.30 the Kids will rehearse for a concert on Sunday 19 June and new auditionees are invited to stay and watch this rehearsal so they see what singing in the group is like.
Birralee Singers (yrs 5 - 7) Saturday 18 June 2.30pm
Audition - which will involve a few singing exercises with the conductor
Rehearsal Participation - from 3.00 - 4.30 new auditionees are invited to stay and participate in this rehearsal so they see what singing in the group is like.
SIGNATURE CHOIRS
Brisbane Birralee Voices (yr 7 - 12) Tuesday 14 June, 12 July, 19 July from 6.00pm
Audition - which will involve a few singing exercises with the conductor and a short song of your choice.
Rehearsal Participation - from 6.30 - 8.00pm new auditionees are invited to stay and participate in this rehearsal so they see what singing in the group is like.
Birralee Blokes (boys with changed/changing voices) 21 July from 5.30pm
Audition - which will involve a few singing exercises with the conductor and a short song of your choice.
Rehearsal Participation - from 6.30 - 8.30pm new auditionees are invited to stay and participate in this rehearsal so they see what singing in the group is like.
Resonance of Birralee (places available for post-secondary school males) Wed 13 July from 5.00pm
Audition material will be sent to you once you have registered and there is an opportunity to attend a trial rehearsal.
