Join us for a compelling online event, where we bring together some of the most influential voices in the Aboriginal community to discuss the critically important topic of the Voice to Parliament. In collaboration with the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO) and the Consumer Action Law Centre, we present an enlightening panel discussion featuring esteemed speakers:

Sheree Lowe - She has spent her personal and professional life living, supporting, and advocating for Aboriginal people to be seen and heard across a range of different injustices including justice, education, health and wellbeing. Sheree has experience in working in the community, government and private sector. Sheree is an Executive Director at the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO) and leads the Balit Durn Durn Centre (The Centre for Excellence in Aboriginal Social and Emotional Wellbeing).

Uncle Rodney Jackson - A respected advocate for Aboriginal rights and social justice, Uncle Rodney Jackson's insights will shed light on the significance of the Voice to Parliament.

Laura Thompson - With a profound understanding of legal and social issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, Laura Thompson, representing Clothing the Gaps, will offer a unique perspective on this pivotal issue.

Professor Kim Rubenstein as our facilitator - an Australian legal scholar, legal practitioner, and Professor in the Faculty of Business Government and Law at the University of Canberra. A graduate of Melbourne University and Harvard Law School she is Australia’s leading expert on citizenship and has been a public policy contributor through running cases in the High Court of Australia, advising on legislation, a member of the Independent Committee that reviewed the Australian Citizenship Test, she is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law and the Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia. With Professor Kim Rubenstein as facilitator, all your constitutional law questions will be answered. 

Our speakers will explore the history, implications, and potential impact of the Voice to Parliament, a critical issue in Australia's ongoing journey towards reconciliation and recognition.
