Vachana Group Singing – Learning, Performing and Connecting

BSAPAC supported Vachana Group Singing as an inclusive community learning initiative, taking Vachanas beyond individual learning and into shared musical expression.

Through in-person classes, participants learnt the meaning, rhythm and delivery of Vachanas while building confidence to perform together on community stages. BSAPAC provided opportunities for stage performances, recognition and prizes, celebrating participation, effort and excellence.

More importantly, the initiative brought people of different ages and backgrounds together, using music as a bridge for community harmony, cultural connection and intergenerational learning.

In this way, Vachana Group Singing became not simply a cultural activity, but a practical way to Engage, Educate, Empower and Enlighten through shared learning and collective participation.
