Join us for an uplifting choral concert celebrating the beauty of life's journey, through a rich tapestry of voices, we'll explore the universal themes of love, loss, hope, and joy that connect us all, regardless of our differences. Each piece will reflect the myriad experiences that shape our lives, inviting you to reflect on your own journey.
Come and be part of an evening that honours the shared human experience, reminding us that we are all woven together in this extraordinary symphony of life.
A concert celebrating in song of the many forms of love.....new love, uncertain love, parental love, spiritual love, and loss. This celebration will consist of many genres of choral music,
from traditional to modern, from sacred to secular, and even some popular music, so there will be something for everyone! The concert will be a collaboration between Humecon's community choir, Vocalocal, and auditioned a capella choir, Voiceworks.
Featuring Voiceworks and Vocalocal at Hume Conservatorium at 4pm on Sunday 27 October.
Voiceworks has been a Conservatorium ensemble for 7 years. It is an auditioned choir which likes to challenge itself with more complex works. It has performed with some acclaim at the Hobart festival of Voices and the Blackheath Choir Festival as well as locally at St Saviours Cathedral.
Vocalocal have been singing together for about 10 years and are inclusive and welcoming of all. the repertoire has developed from simple two-part harmonies to 6 part a capella and everything in between. The have performed at many local community events as well as being selected to perform at the Festival of Voices in Hobart and the Blackheath Choir Festival.
