Volunteer Call x EatUp Australia
Event description
On Sunday, the 18th May, our club will be joining Eat up. Australia for a public sandwiches making event.
We invite all our club members, families and friends to come along and volunteer with us.
Eat Up. Australia is an organisation that provides free lunches to students nationwide.
"Our mission is to feed hungry kids so that they can learn, grow and succeed," says Eat Up. Australia. Lions and Leo Club of Melbourne Next Gen are proud to work together with Eat Up. Australia to support this meaningful vision to help children and schools with need free meals.
We are also very honoured that the co-founder of Eat up, Lyndon Galea, will be joining us to give us an insight on how this all started, his vision for this initiative, and the support and challenges he's faced during this journey.
Note- Kids under 12 are also able to volunteer, so long as they're accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please note that there are no more than 2 kids under 10 years old per parent/ guardian, so we can ensure adequate support for the young ones.
If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend the event.
We look forward to seeing you.
Lions Club of Melbourne Next Gen would like to acknowledge the traditional lands of (Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung) people as the Traditional Owners of the land and waterways, and we would like to pay our respect to Elders both past and present. We extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people here today.
