Volunteer Day at The Loop: Community Greening, Native Planting & Water Conservation
Description
Join Groundwork Denver on Saturday, October 10, from 9 AM to 2 PM for a volunteer day at The Loop, a vacant lot at 14th and Kendall in Lakewood that's being transformed into a green, sustainable community space with native plantings, garden beds, and water-conscious design. This is one of the first hands-on steps in bringing that vision to life, and we'd love your help getting it started.
We'll be planting trees and native plants, building garden beds, tackling water conservation projects, and giving the site an overall community greening boost.
This is outdoor, hands-on work, rain or shine. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring sun protection. We'll supply gloves, tools, water, and sunscreen.
Parking: Free street parking is readily available right around the building and alongside the park. You're welcome to park anywhere along the street or in the neighboring lot.
Location: The Loop lot, between the Big Bunny Motel and 1450 Kendall Street, Lakewood
Do you live at The Loop apartments? Residents who register and participate will receive a gift card as our thank-you for representing your community.
