This series explores practical approaches to volunteer recruitment, retention, support and succession planning, providing participants with achievable strategies that can be applied immediately.

Louise Giles, Manager Training and Development, Volunteering WA
Louise is a training and development professional with more than 25 years' experience across the volunteer sector, not-for-profit organisations, local government and corporate environments in the United Kingdom and Western Australia. She has extensive experience supporting sporting and recreation clubs to address volunteer recruitment, retention, succession planning, governance and volunteer wellbeing.

This workshop focuses on doing small things better, not adding layers of work Explore practical ways to attract the right volunteers, not just more people, and learn how to improve the way volunteers are invited, welcomed and supported throughout their journey. The session also examines strategies to reduce over reliance on the same few volunteers and build a sustainable pipeline of people who can contribute to the club now and into the future.
