Volunteer with NY Cares to Fight Food Waste

Come volunteer with TAP-NY for NY Cares to rescue food before it's tossed in the trash! We'll be transferring baked goods from a Union Square bakery to a local organization through Rescuing Leftover Cuisine. Rescuing Leftover Cuisine works to prevent food waste by engaging volunteers to pick up and deliver excess food from restaurants to shelters and food kitchens. 

Instructions to successfully register for the event:

1. Create a NY Cares volunteer account and complete the required volunteer orientation

2. Sign up for the event here

*This volunteering event will be first come, first served- you must complete the above steps to register and sign up for location details. If you are still able to sign up for the event on NY Cares, there are volunteer spots remaining. If not, the event has been fully booked. We suggest completing the registration and signing up on NY Cares ASAP to guarantee yourself a volunteer spot.
