Hosted by Angela Clifford (CE of Eat New Zealand) she will be joined by:

Dr Jessica Hutchings - Papawhakaritorito Trust

(Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Huirapa, Gujarati) Jessica is nationally and internationally recognised as a leader and researcher in Indigenous food systems and Māori food and soil sovereignty, she is a founding Trustee of the Papawhakaritorito Charitable Trust that works to uplift Indigenous seed, soil and food sovereignty and Hua Parakore (Māori organics) through research, development and community practice. She lives on 12 acres and is a Hua Parakore verified family food grower. She has been a member of Te Waka Kai Ora  - the Māori Organics Authority for the last two decades.

Nadine Nagel - Envirostrat

Nadine is a Climate and Nature Consultant at EnviroStrat, a boutique natural resource management consultancy based in Auckland. Originally from Germany, she completed a degree in Food Chain Management and is currently pursuing a Master's in Sustainable Transition focusing on Food Systems. Her work has spanned tackling hospitality food waste at Foodprint to advising companies on emissions accounting and reduction at Toitū Envirocare. She is passionate about the intersection of food and the natural environment, believing that rethinking our food systems can unlock significant benefits for Te Taiao.

Katie Goodwin - Legasea

Katie is a qualified marine scientist and works alongside LegaSea, a not-for-profit organisation aiming to restore New Zealand's coastal fisheries. She is part of LegaSea’s communications and public awareness team, advocating for more fish in the water and a fair go for future generations. Katie will be discussing some of the important issues facing New Zealand’s fisheries and what needs to change to ensure healthy, abundant kaimoana remains part of our food story for our tamariki and mokopuna.
