Vote Your Values! - Denver
Event description
Vote Your Values
Voting Your Values is More Than an Election
As believers in Christ, and leaders in our businesses and community, we understand the necessity and urgency of representing Jesus and the Kingdom of God in everything we do.
We are ambassadors for Christ which means we represent His principles and interests above our own. We are called to be both salt and light; salt which preserves what is good and right in our culture and light which guides others to truth and life.
Everything about us is contagious and it influences others around us. And while our faith is deeply personal, it was never intended to be private. Everything we say and do matters.
_____________
The great statesman, Chuck Colson, who served on President Nixon’s cabinet, who did time for his role in the Watergate Scandal, and then was radically redeemed and restored by Christ, once said this in relation to our calling:
“We are called not just to transform the lives of individuals but entire communities and cultures for Christ.”
Mr. Colson went on to do just that. Through introducing others to Jesus and the good news of the gospel, thousands of lives were radically changed. He went on to institute many reforms that restored human dignity to countless prisoners, helping them truly flourish even while remaining in prison.
In Vote Your Values we will explore practical ways that we can bring our values to every sphere of life & leadership – from:
- hiring & firing
- spending & investing
- educating
- and even at the ballot box…
…to shape the culture and build the Kingdom of God, right here, right now!
The charge for Christian Business Owners and marketplace influencers to engage has never been more needed.
We are called to:
- Exercise our divine calling to become a catalyst for “bringing God’s kingdom to earth through stewardship of our businesses and organizations.
- Lead the charge to help people and culture to flourish through the goods and services we provide AND the cultures we create to care for and develop others.
- And to make disciples of many nations through business.
