    Event description

Ada Lovelace Day 2021 – Make Your Mark

Ada Lovelace Day is a global movement which recognises and celebrates the achievements and contributions of women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine) careers.

Following the success of the first VPS-wide Ada Lovelace Day event in 2020, this year we join together to celebrate and connect with women across the Victorian Public Sector who have been making their mark in STEM.

With an opening address by Elizabeth Wilson, Chief Information Officer, Department of Education and Training, join us to hear short talks from women in all stages of their STEM careers across the VPS.

We will also hear a special presentation from Dr Niki Vincent, Public Sector Gender Equality Commissioner and announce the winner and runners up of "The Ada" - the Ada Lovelace Peer Recognition Award.

Join us on Tuesday 12 October for this Whole of Victorian Government (WoVG) Ada Lovelace Day event to recognise and celebrate the VPS women excelling in STEM.

Keep an eye on the VPS Innovation Network Ada Lovelace group for speaker announcements!

This event will be live captioned to support accessibility.

*note this event is open to people working within the Victorian Public Sector - please register with your work email address to enable validation of registrations*
