VSA Presents: A Journey of Hope Charity Dinner 2024

VSA NSW Presents: 🌤️𝒜 𝒥𝑜𝓊𝓇𝓃𝑒𝓎 𝑜𝒻 𝐻𝑜𝓅𝑒🌤️

🩵 VSA NSW proudly presents the return of our annual ✨𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑫𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓! ✨As Vietnamese-Australian youths, we are uniting from 6 different university teams ✊(USYD, UNSW, WSU, UTS, MQU, and STATE) not only to celebrate and connect with our 𝑽𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔𝒆 culture through dance🕺, song🎵, and performance🎭 but also to use our 🗣️voices to raise funds and awareness for prevalent issues, and give back to our local community. 🤝❤️

💌We would like to cordially invite everyone to an  🌃💖 𝓾𝓷𝓯𝓸𝓻𝓰𝓮𝓽𝓽𝓪𝓫𝓵𝓮 🌃💖 night, consisting of a 7-course meal😋, alongside various forms of 🪩entertainment🪩, with all proceeds going to our charity of choice.💌

Last year, our charity of choice was 👫Children’s Hope in Action (CHIA)👫, in which we successfully raised over ＄12,000, a significant achievement for us and our sponsors!🎉 This year, our vision is to make the Charity Dinner 𝐵𝐼𝒢𝒢𝐸𝑅 , 𝐁𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑, and more  𝐼𝑀𝒫𝒜𝒞𝒯𝐹𝒰𝐿.

On a night centred around 𝚏𝚊𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚢, 𝕡𝕙𝕚𝕝𝕒𝕟𝕥𝕙𝕣𝕠𝕡𝕪, and 𝑽𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔𝒆 culture, 🫵your🫵 support for our charity dinner means the world 🌍 to the VSA NSW team 🩵 and our members🫂. This event holds a special place in our hearts.💞

Our Theme: 🌤️𝒜 𝒥𝑜𝓊𝓇𝓃𝑒𝓎 𝑜𝒻 𝐻𝑜𝓅𝑒🌤️

This year, our Charity Dinner theme is "A Journey of Hope.”🫶 For the first time, we will be collaborating with a 𝓁𝑜𝒸𝒶𝓁 charity very close to home, to run a project that aims to empower our community with the skills and knowledge to stand up against domestic violence 🏡

Through this ✨𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑫𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓✨, we aspire to be a catalyst for positive change🤗, symbolising our journey toward fostering 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 and 𝖘𝖚𝖕𝖕𝖔𝖗𝖙 for women and children affected by violence. Our goal is to infuse their lives with renewed 🧡hope and resilience🧡, paving the way for a brighter future.

Our Charity and Project: 

This year, for the first time ever we are partnering up with a local charity based in our own local community. Zen Tea Lounge Foundation is based in Smithfield and supports the empowerment of those affected by domestic violence, abuse, and isolation offering a secure environment through their Smithfield social enterprises and wellness classes. Their mission is to provide women the tools they need to take charge of their life and make necessary changes. 

VSA NSW will be using Charity Dinner to help fundraise in implementing the “Empower and Protect: Child Resilience Against Violence” Project. This project is very close to home, with the increasing incidents of domestic and sexual violence within our community, it highlights the urgent need for targeted intervention. With the help of Zen Tea Lounge Foundation as the facilitators, all money raised by VSA NSW’s Charity Dinner 2024 will be given to fund this life changing project. 

This initiative aims to deliver crucial educational workshops to 200 children and their parents in our community, focusing on healthy boundaries, body safety, emotional resilience and violence prevention.

1. On the day of the Charity Dinner with cash which can be placed in the red pocket envelopes on each table.
