VU Punjabi Association celebrates the heart, culture and hype of Punjab, from Charda Punjab to Lehnda Punjab!
Whether you’re into bhangra, Punjabi music, poetry, shayari, fashion, food, traditions, or just love a good vibe, there’s a place for you here. We’re all about bringing people together, celebrating our roots and creating new memories along the way.
Culture, community & mad vibes, that’s VU Punjabi Association!
Our purpose is to create a strong sense of community and belonging for students at Victoria University. Moving away from home and experiencing university life in a new environment can sometimes feel lonely, and our association aims to create a space where students can connect, celebrate their culture and build meaningful friendships.
Through VU Punjabi Association, we aim to:
celebrate Punjabi culture, traditions and heritage
organise cultural events and celebrations
share Punjabi music, dance, food and traditions
create opportunities for students to meet and connect
promote awareness and appreciation of Punjabi culture
organise social activities and community gatherings
build a supportive and welcoming Punjabi community at VU
bring together students from different backgrounds through culture.
This is more than just a club. It is a community where we can celebrate where we come from, learn from one another and create a little feeling of home here at VU.
