VUSU Puffing Billy Railway Trip 2025

Join VU Student Union for an unforgettable trip on the Puffing Billy Railway!

Experience a scenic steam train journey through the Dandenong Ranges with VUSU and your fellow VU students.

Date: 17th April 2025
Time: Departure from VU Footscray Park at 8:00 AM, estimated return by 5:00 PM
Train Route: Belgrave to Lakeside (1-hour journey each way)
Lunch: Provided at the visitor center at Lakeside.

Important Information for Attendees

• The bus is not wheelchair accessible and does not have onboard toilets.
• Enjoy breathtaking views at Lakeside during the two-hour stop.
• VUSU representatives will be present throughout the trip for assistance.
• Only activities associated with the trip are allowed—no personal detours.

Additional Information

• Meeting Point: Near Building L (Near Aquatic Center), VU Footscray Park Campus.
• Bus Departure: 8:00 AM sharp—latecomers will not be accommodated.
• What to Bring: Water bottle, power bank, snacks, sunglasses.
• Dress Code: Wear full-body covering clothing and closed-toe shoes.
• No Loud Music & No Alcohol on the bus.
• No Refunds for cancellations made within 5 days of the trip.
• Parking: Available at VU Footscray Park (at own expense).
