Event description

In this first for Western Australia, we are bringing together local and national thought leaders and domain experts to deep diving into the role impact investment in regional WA to drive regenerative social, cultural, environmental and economic outcomes for our communities.

Supported through the WA Government's X-TEND Investor Education program, the WA Forum for Regenerative Investment brings together a diverse range of stakeholders, land managers, investors, and experts along with Traditional Owners with the goal of increasing purposeful investment in WA’s natural resources.

Why Impact Investment for WA's regions?

Impact investment’s focus on generating measurable positive impacts, its ability to factor in longer time horizons, and willingness to innovate with approaches such as blended finance means that fit for purpose approaches to WA’s unique challenges and opportunities can be brought to fruition. Including:

    • Incentivising, supporting, and rewarding the necessary work to rehabilitate WA’s soils, biodiversity, and water.
    • Protect and create market advantages in the WA's globally recognised unique ecological landscapes.
    • Transform the wheatbelt from a region on the frontline of the negative impacts created by a changing climate, to the frontline of reversing it.
    • Create stronger links between industries, conservation, traditional ecological knowledge, and First Nations people’s cultural responsibility to care for country.
    • Reduce financial stress on regional producers, communities, and industries by leveraging more appropriate capital and financial arrangements.
