WA Junior Leadership Weekend
Event description
Junior Leadership Weekend is an engaging introduction to leadership, designed especially for students in Years 7 and 8 who are eager to build their confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Across the weekend, delegates will:
Learn the fundamentals of leadership and collaboration.
Explore how young people can take action on global challenges through local solutions.
Develop skills in advocacy, creativity, and teamwork.
Connect with like-minded peers in a supportive and inclusive environment.
This year’s theme, Think Globally-Act Locally, invites delegates to explore the world’s biggest challenges while discovering how young leaders can make a difference in their own communities. Delegates will learn how global issues connect to their everyday lives, and how their voice and actions can spark real impact close to home.
Delegates will leave the weekend with new friendships, practical leadership tools, and the confidence to see themselves as active change-makers in their schools, communities, and beyond.
Whether you’re already passionate about global issues or just starting your leadership journey, JLW is the perfect first step into the world of UN Youth.
