WA Water Aid - Walk for Water
Description
Join the WA WaterAid Committee for our Walk for Water walk event.
Why are we walking? 696 million people in the world don’t have clean water close to home. Worldwide, women and girls spend 200 million hours every day collecting water. To conclude the Water Aid's annual Walk for Water week - join us for a loop around the Derbal Yerrigan (Swan River).
Route
We will meet on the city side of the Matagarup bridge, walking around four kms, through East Perth up to the Boorloo Bridge, over to Burswood and along the river back to the other side of Matagarup Bridge.
This a family friendly, community event and you are encouraged to bring family and friends with you.
The event is free, organised by our volunteers but we ask you make a donation to the Walk for Water WA Team Page. WA WALKERS
Funds raised go to WaterAid deliver programs to help transform the lives of the most impoverished and marginalised communities in our neighbouring countries.
