Western Australia Web3 (WAWEB3) is an incorporated not-for-profit association registered in Australia under the legal name WAWEB3 Inc. in late 2022. WAWEB3’s mission is to raise awareness about the next evolution of the internet (web3), and facilitate collaboration between government, academia, industry and communities to build the new digital global economy based on web3 technologies and principles of decentralisation, transparency, inclusion, digital tokenised ownership, sustainability, data sovereignty and privacy.

Our mission is realised through:

Education: Advancing web3 literacy with educational programs, consulting, and dynamic events that cater to all community members, emphasising the involvement of First Nations Peoples, investors, SMEs and established industries in digital transformation.

Applied Research and Practice: Building research-based innovative web3 digital economy, from infrastructure to services, leveraging Blockchain, AI, IoT, Quantum Computing, DePIN, Smart Manufacturing, and Renewable Energy, Green Data Centres & HPC.

Diversifying Economy with New Talent & Capital: Attracting top-tier web3 talent and investment to stimulate regional development and innovation.
