WA 2 WA is returning!
Roanne from Afrotonic once again brings her love of West African dance to our WA backyard!

Join us for 3 full days of West African drumming and dancing with international and interstate guests:

- Naby Bangoura, insanely talented, inclusive, kind, quirky, motivational graceful Guinean dancer

- Awa Sonko, insane duracell battery-fuelled dancer from Senegal

- The grooviest of Melbourne dancers, Mitzi Mcrae, trained in Guinea and Mali style dance.

- Mohamed Bangoura, master djembefola, and cheeky wonderful soul from Guinea.

- Freddy Addo and Emmanuel, amazing dancer and drummers from Ghana.

- Djibril Diagne from Senegal, father of Sabar drumming in Western Australia.

Saturday night show: Special appearances from Perth’s own west African and Afro fusion bands and djs... Marimba magic, Afrotonic and friends with provide grooves from Ghana, Senegal, Guinea, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Congo, and all over :))

There will be 21 workshops over 3 days (12 dance workshops and 11 drum workshops as one is a combination). All culminating in a spectacular guest performance on Sat evening and Student performance on Sunday evening. Guaranteed to get you grooving and we cater to every level of experience, from beginners all the way through to long term African drum and dance aficionados.

You can choose your option :

- experience the full 3 days, 

- 3 days drumming only, 

- 3 days dance only

- 1 day only, you pick your combo of drumming and dancing. 

- Individual class (drum or dance, contact Roanne for availability)

If you don't have a drum you can hire one and there will be opportunity to make friends, try new things and celebrate all things African.
