WACOSS will be hosting this year's State Budget Briefing to the community service sector on Friday 13th May.Â
The WA Government will hand down the 2022-2023 State Budget on Thursday 12th of May. The social policy team will be working late into the night to develop fact sheets and a detailed analysis on how the State Budget will impact the community services sector and vulnerable people in our community.
Joining us again this year will be special guests from WA State Treasury, Michael Andrews and Alistair Jones, with other guest speakers to be advised. Treasury will provide a summary presentation of the State Budget in areas relevant to the community service sector, and they will be invited to participate in a conversation with the sector with a particular focus on the trends around, Closing the Gap, children and young people, housing, social justice, regional investment, family and domestic violence, mental health, education and training. This is a free webinar for members, but is open for anyone to join.
