WAGIC Presents "Building a Game Franchise & Brand" Workshop with Christian Fonnesbech
Description
Building a Game Franchise & Brand is an online professional development workshop designed to help Western Australian game developers and screen practitioners build long-term value in their game IP beyond simply creating a hit game.
Delivered as a live online masterclass across two connected practical sessions, the workshop explores franchise thinking, brand identity, and intentional IP development, giving participants the tools to strengthen their projects, positioning, and long-term commercial potential.
Registration includes both sessions! To get the full benefit of the program, participants should attend both.
In the two weeks between sessions, six selected teams will prepare a short presentation on their current IP or franchise challenges, then receive live feedback and strategic guidance during Session Two.
Participants who are not selected to present will still gain significant value from attending the second session through real-world case studies, practical problem-solving frameworks, and insights that can be applied directly to their own projects.
This workshop is ideal for:
Emerging teams new to franchise and IP strategy
Established studios developing or pitching original IP
Regional practitioners seeking statewide online access to industry expertise
Led by Leverage Partnership, specialists in helping studios build ownable IPs, lasting entertainment franchises, and impactful brands.
This workshop is supported by Screenwest and the Western Australian Government through the Workshops and Masterclasses Fund, as part of a commitment to strengthen Western Australia’s game development sector by providing local creators with access to practical industry knowledge, commercial skills, and professional development opportunities.
