Event description

Celebrate the New Standards of tomorrow with the vibrant force of Wāhine in Jazz (AKL) and The Listening Collective (WLG) joining forces to showcase female and gender minority musicians that are shaping the sound of jazz in Aotearoa.

Taking inspiration from Terri Lyne Carrington’s New Standards: 101 Lead Sheets by Women Composers, this showcase will feature original works, and arrangements that highlight the breadth of voices often underrepresented on the bandstand.

WIJ and TLC invite you to collaborate with them in whatever capacity you are moved to. Charts can be found via this link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1jQju30yLpi54QPdfRGnZ2x4FZBIUnjUz?usp=drive_link
