Waitawa Regional Park - Planting Day
Event description
Join Rangers and volunteers for a fun exciting day out on our regional parks.
Update# Planting is progressing well on park, the final date of Sunday 11th August is up for review, as we may have planted the trees before this date occurs, we will update the listing and notify prior bookings if this occurs, if we don't run this listed planting date of Sunday 11th August.
Bring your family and friends to help plant trees and keep Auckland green.
When:Â Â Â Â Â Â The day will start at 10.00am
Where:Â Â Â Â Â Waitawa Regional Park, 1168 Clevedon-Kawakawa Road, Kawakawa Bay 2585
            Follow the signs to the meeting site. Multiple sites per planting date including Te Aroaro carpark (short easy access) and wetland slope (5 - 10 minute walk to planting site).
What to bring:
- Sturdy covered boots or shoes.
- Weather appropriate clothes (sun or rain).
- Bottle of water.
- Spades and gloves if you have them. If you don't have tools, we can provide you with a spade and some gloves.
To avoid potential disappointment, planning to attend an earlier date rather than a later date should ensure trees to plant availability.
Protect our parks from kauri dieback:Â bring only clean footwear and equipment to our parks.
We'll provide food at the end of the planting.
