• Who is this tour for?

  This tour is for anyone who is curious about natural burial and conservation burial, whether you are planning ahead for yourself, supporting a family member, or simply interested in learning more. No prior knowledge is needed.

• How long does the event run?

  The tour usually runs for between 75 and 90 minutes, allowing time for a warm drink, conversation, and a visit to the burial grounds at a relaxed pace.

• What do I need to bring?

  This is a gentle experience that includes a short drive and some walking around the site. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing a hat on sunny days. Depending on the group and fitness levels, there may be the option to walk further through the burial areas. You may also like to bring a water bottle, although we are never far from shops or taps.

• Can I bring a family member or friend?

  Yes, absolutely. Many people find it helpful to attend with a partner, family member, or friend so they can explore the experience and ask questions together.

• How accessible is the walk?

  We drive across to the burial ground, and we can adapt the experience to suit different needs. There is a flat car park at the top of the site, so you can take in the landscape and learn about Walawaani Way without needing to walk far. Longer walking options may be included depending on who attends and what feels comfortable for the group.

• What bathroom facilitates are avaiable?

  Yes. At the Walawaani Way office, public toilets are available just across the road at Bodalla Hall, including accessible facilities. At the burial grounds, accessible toilets are also available.

• Is this suitable if I’m only just beginning to think about burial options?

  Yes. Many people come simply to understand what natural burial is and to get a feel for the place. There is no pressure to make decisions. The walk is a space to learn, reflect, and ask questions at your own pace.

• Is there any expectation that I need to make a decision or book a burial?

  Not at all. This walk is simply an opportunity to learn more about natural burial, ask questions, and experience the place for yourself. You are very welcome to come along whether you are ready to make plans or are simply exploring your options.

• What is conservation burial?

  Conservation burial is a form of natural burial that also helps protect and regenerate the land. At Walawaani Way, burial is part of a broader commitment to restoring the site to natural bushland, creating a place of remembrance that supports conservation as well as care at the end of life.

• What if I can’t make it on the day?
