Walk with the Park. Flow with Nature
Event description
The Gums Landcare Group, in partnership with the Campbelltown ArtHouse and Campbelltown City Council, invites local community members to celebrate life in The Gums Reserve in the revegetated and grassed area as well as the Brookside Cellars Community Art Centre. Participants will learn about our biodiversity, be able to create artworks about the 'critters' we see and search for them in the dark after dinner.
The Program:
1700: Welcome to Country
1710: "Fantastic critters and where to find them" – Beth Treglown, PhD candidate
1710: "Creating Critter Art" – Ann Whitby (Campbelltown ArtHouse)
1745: "Feel the Flow" Poets Corner – Kathryn von Bergen and St Josephs Tranmere students
1800: Sausage Sizzle (Beef sausages, onions and bread. Other dietary options must be pre-ordered.)
1830: After dark critter search – Beth Treglown. (Some torches and head lamps will be available)
1945: Summarise species seen in the critter search.
