Event description

Hi Sunshine Coast International Students!

We have put together another great event to Welcome all our International Students to the Sunshine Coast and we hope you can be a part of it!

This is a great cultural event and one not to be missed.

Starting from 8am the bus will collect you from either Tafe Mooloolaba and UniSC Sippy Downs and then travel to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland to the beautiful bush reserve of Tribal Link in Obi Obi, where you will have a traditional First Nations welcome to country and yarn, followed by a guided bush walk. After a bush tucker morning tea followed by an informative presentation on bush tucker, you will embark on creative workshops, boomerang throwing, traditional painting, just to name a few. Finishing the day, a lunch is provided in the natural picnic grounds. Hear all about the oldest cultures and learn of connections to country and the history behind our First Nations Culture.

This event is fully funded by Study Queensland, Sunshine Coast Council and Study Sunshine Coast and is free to all international students.

Thursday 20th March 2025
