Walking with Life: Looking closer
Description
Come explore the weird and wild world of insects and other invertebrates on this ecologist-led daytime walk in the forests of South-east Queensland!
These walks are short in distance, often only 200m to 500m long, where we “get out eye in” and learn to see the many and varied life-forms sustained by Queensland's different ecosystems. Together, we’ll learn about how these often-underappreciated creatures interact with and shape the world around us.
We will send you the exact location 24 hours prior to the walk, so please keep an eye on your emails. Unfortunately, it is not easily accessible with public transport, so traveling via car is recommended. Public toilet facilities are not present.
This walk lasts for approximately two hours on maintained paths. The paths are wheelchair and pram accessible.
Please come dressed in appropriate long-sleeved clothing with closed toe shoes.
If applying repellents, please do so before your arrival as these can harm the life-forms we wish to learn about.
This tour is suited for all ages, under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Photography is encouraged. There is a strict no collection policy.
