Wallsend Clothes Swap

Are you looking for a fun and sustainable way to refresh your wardrobe?

Join in our Clothes Swap on Saturday 17th May, where you can exchange up to 10 gently used clothing items, shoes, or accessories that you no longer wear but are still in good condition. 

Overview of the day:

10am - 10:30am : Clothes Swap Check-in

• Meet our volunteers at the check-in counter to exchange up to 10 items for the equivalent number of tokens (these will be used later to go “shopping”!)
• While everyone checks-in and the items are being sorted and hung, you can explore the nearby Wallsend Op Shop Trail.

11:30 am : Swapping Begins!

• At 11:30am we will first will give an overview of how the swapping event works, and hear from some local sustainability and textiles experts.
• Then the swapping will begin!
• All items will be sorted in types and hung on display racks 
• Change rooms and mirrors will be available on the day
• When you have made your selection, meet our volunteers at the check-out counter to exchange your tokens for your new items of clothing!

Spaces are limited so booking is essential. Ticket price is $10, or for those who need it there is a no questions asked free option. We just want to see you there!
